about me
film history
Sara started her film journey about ten years ago when she created her first stop motion animation on the app Musical.ly (now TikTok). She created more animations throughout middle and high school, including ones with clay, race cars, and skeletons. While in high school, she was also one of the show runners for the school's weekly newscast.
She decided to study film at San Bernardino Valley College. The first film classes she took included an acting and directing class and a beginning television production class at the KVCR studio on campus. Taking the TV production class allowed her to be a producer for their show, Rhythm Lounge, which interviews and showcases local bands. On top of being a producer, Sara also directed an episode, as well as lighting designer editor, and title animator.
On top of that, she began collaborating with small indie film groups in the Inland Empire, which taught her aspects of pre-production, sound mixing, and focus pulling. She takes on any challenge that's thrown at her with excitement, including co-directing a couple of 48 Hour Film Competitions. Sara was also part of several productions through her school, where she learned skills like steadicam operation. In February of 2025, she represented her school in that year's College 48 Hour Film Project, which she directed and produced. That film is now nominated for Best Student Film in the Inland Film Festival.
performance history
Sara has performed her entire life and loves the adrenaline she gets from being on stage. She started dancing at three years old, and spent the next 13 years learning jazz, ballet, and musical theater, along with taking the occasional tap and polynesian dance classes. She did weekly theater summer camps where she played roles like Princess Anna in Frozen and Iago in Aladdin. Once Sara entered high school, she jumped into the theatre program, where she started as a sound tech. She began acting in the program after the pandemic, starring as Snoopy in You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown and Mrs. Peacock in Clue. She was also an ensemble member in Newsies, where she played four different roles and choreographed one of the musical numbers. During her high school years, she won Best Supporting Actor for Snoopy and Best Ensemble Member for her work in Newsies. Sara was also the Thespian President in Troupe 960 from the '22-'23 school year.
Once she graduated, she began transferring her acting skills from the stage to the screen. She started off by doing the Inland Empire 48 Hour Film Project and starred in Death at the Diner directed by Will Fitz. After that, she starred in a short film made for her Cinema Production class called Midnight Masquerade. She was heavily involved in the pre and post production stages, it taught her a lot about acting for the camera and set life. She continues to act for multiple school projects, varying from starring roles in 48 Hour Film Competitions to background acting as a zombie. One of those roles led her to an acting nomination for a short silent film her and her classmates in the 2025 Wolverine Con. She's expanding to other indie groups for acting roles as well where she acted in a couple of supporting roles. She hopes to expand her acting knowledge and resume as the years, and is appreciative of any opportunity given to her.
